A Tropical Love Story: Nirmit’s Enchanting Seychelles Trip with Thrillophilia

The warm breeze whispered through the palm trees as Nirmit and his wife were sitting quietly on a beach. The sun was starting to set, casting a golden hue over the water, and the sky above was turning shades of pink and orange.

The couple had spent the last few days exploring the stunning beauty of Seychelles, but this moment— this moment of pure relaxation— was something else entirely.

Discovering Praslin!

Their days in Praslin were a mix of fun, adventure, relaxation and romance.

The first stop was Anse Lazio, one of the most famous beaches in Seychelles. They spent the morning lounging on the beach, feeling the warm sun on their skin and the cool breeze on their faces.

For lunch, they found a charming beachside restaurant where they could enjoy local Creole cuisine. They ordered grilled fish, mango salad, and octopus curry, along with a refreshing SeyBrew beer (a local beer). As they ate, they couldn’t stop talking about how perfect everything was. The food was fresh and flavourful, and the ambiance of the restaurant, with its open-air seating and view of the beach, was the ideal setting for a romantic meal.

As the afternoon wore on, they strolled along the beach, taking in the beauty of the place. They sat down on the sand, watching the waves crash against the shore, feeling the cool evening air on their skin. It was a perfect evening, one that they would both remember forever.

Adventure Awaits at La Digue

The couple’s journey to La Digue Island began with a scenic ferry ride. Upon arriving, they got to know that bicycles were the best way to explore the island. So, they quickly went to the nearest shop to rent two bikes.

Their first stop was the quiet, almost hidden, Anse Source d'Argent. As they walked down a shaded path surrounded by towering granite rocks, the sound of crashing waves slowly grew louder. When they reached the beach, they were greeted by one of the most picturesque scenes they had ever seen- soft, golden sand, gentle turquoise waves, and the iconic granite boulders that seemed to rise out of the water.

They spent hours just soaking in the beauty, snapping countless pictures and creating memories that would last for a lifetime.

The couple also rented a kayak and paddled out into the open water, the sunlight glistening off the sea like a thousand diamonds. They glided through the calm waves, surrounded by lush greenery on one side and the expansive blue ocean on the other. They spent the next few hours exploring hidden coves and secluded beaches, each one more serene than the last.

At one point, they came across a small, deserted island, and after pulling the kayak ashore, they spent some time walking along its shoreline, collecting seashells and marveling at the untouched beauty.

The Copolia Trail Adventure

The couple’s adventure took a more rugged turn when they decided to tackle the famous Copolia Trail, a hike that promised breathtaking views and a good dose of adventure.

The day began early, with the sun barely peeking over the horizon. The path started off relatively easy, winding through lush greenery with the occasional burst of colourful flowers. They laughed as they navigated the rocky steps, occasionally stopping to catch their breath and take in the vibrant surroundings. Nirmit’s wife, always a nature enthusiast, pointed out different plants, while he tried to keep up, pretending to know more about the flora than he actually did.

After what felt like an eternity, they reached the summit, and the reward was nothing short of spectacular. The entire island of Mahe stretched out before them, with its emerald hills, turquoise beaches, and the deep blue ocean beyond. The view was so vast and stunning that they just stood there in silence for a few minutes, soaking in the beauty.

The Copolia Trail, with its mix of physical challenge and breathtaking reward, had turned out to be one of the highlights of their trip.

A Trip Down Memory Lane!

A year later, Nirmit was scrolling through his phone while sipping coffee in a cafe. As he flipped through the pictures from their honeymoon, one particular moment stood out— a photo of them sitting on a secluded beach, the sun setting in the distance, casting a golden glow over everything.

The memory of that peaceful evening, with the sound of the waves, made him pause. It was a moment of perfect serenity, a feeling that still lingered with him.

As he sat there, lost in the memory, he realised how much that trip had meant to them. He smiled to himself, feeling grateful for the experience and to Thrillophilia for arranging it all beautifully!
